Oh, Instagram. Though so much time is wasted as we aimlessly scroll through our feeds waiting for something to actually peak our interest, we do, now and again, come across that post which really catches our eye and makes us take a second look. This is how I discovered L’Amour de Paris’s striking photography, taken around the most beautiful of backdrops throughout the City of Love. As I poked around their Instagram page and website, I saw that every single photo shown was gorgeous… My family and I needed to have a shoot done with them.

Fast forward two months and there we were, dressed for the occasion, waiting in Trocadero, where we would be meeting Chey-Anne, one half of the married photography duo that makes up L’Amour de Paris. Moments later, she arrived. Small and full of energy and charm, Chey-Anne arrived and without too much discussion, she seemed to know exactly what we were looking for in a photo shoot (L’Amour de Paris also has all future clients fill out a questionnaire prior to meeting which helps to keep everyone on the same page to achieve subjects’ end goal. There’s even a section regarding how much editing you’d like them to do to the photos, with an option being “make me look ten years younger and ten pounds thinner”)!

Chey-Anne and her husband, Doug, are an American photography team living in Paris, whom, prior to their European migration lived in New Orleans, LA. Also part of the talented group that makes up L’Amour de Paris is Stacy Reeves, another talented photographer who contributes to the beautifully outstanding collection of work the company produces.

As a person, Chey-Anne is a doll, and as a photographer, she’s an absolute natural, keeping the kids entertained while somehow managing to get them into the most picture-perfect poses possible. Her suggestions of shooting locations were all also unbeatable and what made the thirty-five minute session even better was how fun and laid-back she made the whole experience for everyone.

What initially drew me to L’Amour de Paris’ pictures was the soft colors and careful composition used in every photograph. Just seeing them prior to our trip made me want to go to Paris right then and there- and when we received our photos, they now have that same affect on everyone we show them to.

Another nice thing about L’Amour de Paris is that they will travel for your photo shoots so whether you are heading to another city in France, Italy or the Greek Isles, and would like an engagement/family/maternity session done, Chey-Anne and Doug will make it happen.
