FEEL LIKE SHOPPING IN BARBADOS, TODAY? THE BEST OF BARBADOS GIFT SHOPS ALLOW YOU TO DO JUST THAT
Nov 10, 2020This month in the Wilsons in Wanderland Book Club, as we read Lauren Willig’s The Summer Country, an incredibly atmospheric story set in 1854 Colonial Barbados.
Personally, my family and I have been to Barbados a number of times and whenever we’re there, we can’t get enough of the crystal blue water and beautiful beaches. When we’re not exploring the sand & sea, however, I’m always one to enjoy perusing through the local gift shops- one of my favorites being the Best of Barbados Gift Shops, which include a collection of local items, from art and clothing to aromatic lotions, creams, baked goods and more.
And though we can’t get to Barbados right now ( and instead only by way of our literary journey), I was excited to find that we can order some of our favorite products via the Best of Barbados website. Between this muscle + joint Morinda Leaf Rub (it works!) to the internationally famous Tortuga Rum Cake, it’s nice to have access to some Barbadian products that we already know and love. There’s also a cool Caribbean cookbook available on the site and this superb blend of seasonings, if you’re looking to really spice things up in the kitchen. If you’re craving some Caribbean- particularly if you’re reading along with our book club this month, I encourage you to check out the Best of Barbados Gift Shops and have some of this beautiful island at home with you.
